May 30, 2022

(PRESS RELEASE) — Jimmie Allen, chart-topping country music star, trailblazing artist and new 2021 AMC Artist of the Year, performs his first tour, “Down Home,” at the Gold Strike Theater in Gold Strike Casino Resort on Saturday July 8 at 9 p.m.

Hailing from southern Delaware, Allen has carried the “Never give up” mantra through good times and bad – from living in his car to winning CMA New Artist of the Year and ACM New Male Artist of the Year in 2021 and earning his first Grammy nomination for Best New Artist in 2022.

His hit songs “Freedom Was a Highway”, “Best Shot” and “Make Me Want To” reveal Allen’s powerful and soulful sense of groove, his love of deep messages and his talent for sharp hooks. His debut album, Mercury Lane, named after the street he grew up on in Delaware, featured an avant-garde mix of country, rock, R&B and pop to critical acclaim from Rolling Stone and The New York Times. .

Allen’s 2020 collaborative project, Bettie James, combined her deep love of family and musical tastes spanning all genres. The star-studded collaboration was named after Allen’s late grandmother and late father. Allen hand-picked artists who touched the lives of the album’s namesakes, allowing their legacies to weave seamlessly through Bettie James on tracks featuring Brad Paisley, Charley Pride, Darius Rucker, Rita Wilson, Nelly and more.

Her third album, Tulip Drive, is due out June 24. Like its predecessors, the album title is deeply personal to Allen as it is about the street his late grandmother grew up on. The 17-song list features several star collaborations, including Jennifer Lopez on “On My Way,” which drops May 27. Both Lopez and Allen appeared on Season 10 of American Idol. Lopez served as a judge that season, with Allen making it through Hollywood week but being eliminated before the Top 24.

Tickets for the Jimmie Allen show are $59, $79 and $89 plus tax and service charge and are available at or by calling 888.566.7469.
