CAMDEN— The SoundCheck Live Performance Series at Camden Opera House, 29 Elm Street returns Friday, September 24 at 7:30 pm, featuring Charlie Marie.
After two EPs, Charlie Marie released a full album, Hiking on, this spring. His first single, Heard through red wine, was a country music choice by Rolling Stone.
Charlie Marie, inspired by the music of Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn, offers a fresh take on the classic genre by bridging the gap between Nashville and his native Rhode Island, according to the Opera House, in a statement.
Camden Opera House invites locals and visitors to the Midcoast to enjoy a blend of old school traditions and new perspectives, fused by a trailblazer who has been writing songs since her teenage years.
Tickets cost $ 10 and advance purchase is encouraged through camdenoperahouse.com and 236-3154. The opera’s self-service ticketing software ensures distance between the two rows, as well as a few seats on either side of each group’s reservation, for comfortable spacing.
Wearing a mask in the building is compulsory.
The doors will open at 7 p.m. SoundCheck is also streamed live on the COH Facebook page.
