John Williamson, Adam Harvey, Busby Marou, Brad Cox, Gina Jeffreys and Beccy Cole are just a handful of musicians ready to travel to the country music capital to perform at the festival.

Tamworth Country Music Festival director Barry Harley said it was exciting and fitting for these artists to return to the area next year.

“Whether it’s playing on Peel Street or playing at the festival early in their careers, there is a huge connection between country musicians and Tamworth,” he said.

NSW Tourism Minister Stuart Ayres said the 50e anniversary would be a “hit event”.

“With the residents of NSW responding so positively to the call to get vaccinated, we can optimistically expect to come together for major events and welcome visitors to our communities for the benefit of the local visitor economy,” did he declare.
